Description
Two Hard-To-Find University Club of Philadelphia including its Officers, Members (along with College attended), Charter, By-Laws and Rules. 1903 includes a Topical Index. 1148 Members in 1903.According to an online website, the Club was e
stablished 1881 in Philadelphia as a social club of college and university graduates for advancing the interests of liberal education. According to membership lists, its members were mostly Ivy League College Graduate (University of Pennslyvania, Harvard, Princeton, Brown, Cornell, Yale) but also included members from other universities - Virginia, Maryland, Lehigh, William & Mary, USNA, etc. The club was located on Walnut Street with about 1,200 Members (1148 in 1903) and was exclusively male. It as in existence until at least 1947.
One Roster is for 1894 and the second is for 1903 (22

year).
Both in fine condition – clean internally (1903 has a couple of small brown spots on adjacent pages). Bindings are tight. Covers show minor wear and mild discoloration along fore-edges.
