    Description

    Ayuttaya Buddha Bronze Statue (1350 - 1767)
This very rare archeological treasure, from the Golden Age of Siamese culture, is a unique survivor of the mass destruction of Ayudya.
Throughout the centuries, archeologists have unearthed remnants of this once great capital, of which this Buddha is an outstanding example.
Traces of this Buddha's original rich surface of layered gold lacquer still remain, while centuries of being burned in the rubble have oxidized the underlying bronze into "verdigris" or "noble patina."
This rare museum quality Buddhist sculpture still commands as much respect, admiration and devotion as it did from worshipers six centuries ago.
Certificate of Authenticity is included in photos .
