    FYI...This is a BSA Service Star without the colored, plastic disk backing which designates the particular Scouting Program. All Service Stars are worn on the Uniform not on a lapel.
    1/2" diameter gold 5 pointed star.....lines embossed on the star points......blue enamel circle in the center with a gold "I" in the circle.......very clean and shiny, esp on the back.....pin back........comes with the pinch back...........pinchback is marked   BALLOU REG'D .........could not find any info on the origin of the pin or on the fraternal organization it represents
