    Hand of Buddha Sculpture
    The open-palm Abhayamudrā "gesture of fearlessness" is a mudrā (gesture) -- a gesture of reassurance and safety, which dispels fear and accords divine protection.
    This lovely, calming hand of Buddha sculpture can be used for display or as a holder for rings, scarves, or jewelry.
    It is heavy iron with an ivory-colored glaze and vintage patina with wear to the glaze.  Felted on the bottom with original Pottery Barn label (faded).
    A lovely piece, it has been retired by Pottery Barn and is now hard to find.
