    Japanese wooden Buddhist statue of Daikoku and Ebisu
    Very unique wooden statues of Daikoku and Ebisu. The expressions on their faces are especially outstanding. Just looking at them will make you happy and bring in money.
    Daikoku
    One of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune and is famous for carrying a large sack on his shoulder and holding a small mallet in his right hand. Riding on top of a bale of rice, he is a blessed figure.
    Originally called Mahākāra in Sanskrit, he is an Indian deity. In India, he is an incarnation of Shiva, the chief deity of Hinduism.
    In Japan, he is worshipped as the god of food and wealth.
    Ebisu
    Likewise one of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune, has long been a god of fishery who brings great catches and good fortune, as well as prosperous business and a good harvest. He is the only one of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune with Japanese origin. He holds a sea bream, a symbol of wealth, at his side.
